Family violence in Indigenous communities continues to afflict women and their families at alarming rates. The National Plan to Reduce Violence Against Women and their Children 2010-2022 highlights how dire the situation is, with Indigenous women being upto 35 times more likely to experience domestic and family violence than non-Indigenous Australian women.

The Overcoming Indigenous Family Violence Forum provides a platform for the key decision makers in the family violence space to share their ideas, programs and initiatives and tackle one of the most pressing challenges facing Indigenous communities.

Join us in Melbourne from 11-13 November 2020 to develop your knowledge of therapeutic services for family violence survivors; ensure effective delivery of evidence-based programs for Indigenous Australians; engage appropriate stakeholders in implementing community-driven family violence programs and combine Western clinical methods with Aboriginal culture and lore to achieve long-term behaviour change for perpetrators of violence. Developed with community, for community.
