Family violence in Indigenous communities continues to afflict women and their families at alarming rates. It is reported that Indigenous women are five times more likely to experience domestic and family violence than non-Indigenous Australian women. Recent cuts to critical Indigenous family violence services and the social restrictions rules around COVID-19 have only exacerbated the problem, with help and support being either cut-off or significantly reduced due to inadequate resourcing.

The Overcoming Indigenous Family Violence Forum provides a platform for the key decision makers in the family violence space to share their ideas, programs and initiatives and tackle one of the most pressing challenges facing Indigenous communities.

Join us in Sydney or via live-stream to develop your knowledge of therapeutic services for family violence survivors; ensure effective delivery of evidence-based programs for Indigenous Australians; engage appropriate stakeholders in implementing community-driven family violence programs and combine Western clinical methods with Aboriginal culture and lore to achieve long-term behaviour change for perpetrators of violence. Developed with community, for community.
